It's Cold Outside
I gave this song a working title of "It's Cold Outside" only because it was pretty cold where I was when I made the first mix of this song. Steve Rice (San Diego, USA), a talented songwriter and singer, wrote lyrics that kept the theme so the working title was kept.
It's cold outside, about a hundred and three"
Prior to Steve's contributions of lyrics and vocals I wrote that there was a song there somewhere trying to get out. I think Steve's work has revealed that song! It's heavily influenced by country music, a tale of woe about it feeling cold outside even when it's hot.
This shattered heart is broke in two
It's cold outside since you said we're through"
I played all the instruments heard in the song, with the exception of the drums, which were well played by Nick Anderson (Modbury, UK).

Lyrics to "It's Cold Outside", by Steve Rice
Verse 1
It's cold outside, bout a hundred and three
Been spitting ice since my baby left me
She took our dog and it froze my heart
Been two whole days since we been apart
Chorus 1
But she's leavin, she's leaving, shes gone
Oh baby how can I carry on?
This shattered heart is broke in two
It's cold outside since you said we're through
This shattered heart is broke in two
It's cold outside since you said we're through
Verse 2
I walk around with a frozen face
This plastic smile I can't erase
Ain't told my friends, though I'm sure they know
You do the deed you've got seeds to sow
Chorus 2
But she's leavin', she's leavin, she's gone
Oh baby who can I carry on?
This shattered heart is broke in two
It's cold outside since you said we're through
This shattered heart is broke in two
It's cold outside since you said we're through
