A Man Like Me
It's like electricity
Cause baby you've never known a man like me"

The backing music for this song was influenced by music from the 1960's, especially the Beatles rock n roll music. There is also a bit of Henry Mancini influence in the bridge sections chord sequence.
The Beatles have been a mainstay of my musical life, ever since I used to sing along with friends to Beatles songs after school! By way of homage, I recorded most of the guitar parts for the song with an Epiphone Casino - a guitar favoured by several (3!) Beatles from the mid sixties onwards.Â
John Mancuso (Washington DC, USA), took the backing music I had written, and wrote lyrics and sang the lead and harmony vocals. He has done a fantastic job of taking the backing music and making it into a song complete with some great hooks and excellent harmonies!
I mixed and mastered the song.

A Man Like Me  Lyrics by John Mancuso
Verse & chorus 1
Don't get worried, don't be scared to be
More in love than you thought you'd be
It's not a crime, You haven't lost your mind
It feels like a mystery,
Cause baby you've never known a man like me
Verse & Chorus 2
Don't be nervous, don't be wondering why
You want to have me as your only guy
You couldn't know...where this thing would go
Its nowhere in your history
Cause baby you've never known a man like me
Bridge 1
Its gotta feel strange inside with your mind in a whirl
You take it all in stride, if you're gonna be my girl
There's so many different things you're gonna see
With a man like me
Verse & chorus 3
I don't know if you'll ever understand
Why you get dizzy when I take your hand
Its not control, its just your heart I stole
Its like electricity
Cause baby you've never known a man like me
Bridge 2
Its gotta feel strange inside
With your mind in a whirl
You take it all in stride
If you're gonna be my girl
There's so many different things you're gonna see
With a man like me
Solo
Outro
