This song is a joint creation by Franklin Sane (Detroit, USA, lyrics & vocals) and Shaun (guitars & midi instruments). Franklin's fine vocals, based on the idea of a woman from "Worlds away", are influenced in part by The Psychedelic Furs and David Bowie. Franklin comes up with some memorable lines...
A dark star movingÂ
A star so dark, how does it shine?"

The rhythm guitar parts are Influenced by Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Saxon, Motorhead. There are also some guitar fills influenced by Wayne Hussey (Sisters of Mercy, The Mission).
Is it hard rock or indie rock? I guess it's a hybrid of both.
This is another song which doesn't have real drums, the midi drum patterns and samples are from Addictive drums. The bass lines are also midi, using the excellent free Amplesound precision bass for the sounds.
(she comes) FROM WORLDS AWAY lyrics by Franklin Sane
Verse 1
From somewhereÂ
Beyond the known beyond the knownÂ
It seems, she appearedÂ
In here, in here with the new extremes Â
We might not know where it all beganÂ
But I’m sure we want to know all that we can
Where it began, to know we canÂ
Chorus 1
But she comes from worlds away
And you really want her to stay
Haven’t you seen her come driving inÂ
From the worlds awaaaaaaay
Verse 2
She opens up things from the callÂ
The call of the wildÂ
And the dark from her little worldÂ
She comes and she makes her mark
And wouldn’t you know, when she’s drivingÂ
She’s the driving kind
A dark star movingÂ
A star so dark how does it shine?
Chorus 2
She comes from worlds away
And you really want her to stay
Haven’t you seen her come driving inÂ
From the worlds away, from the worlds away?
Bridge
She comes beaming she comes streaming
Beaming, look around
Who could ever tell this story
Now she’s touching down
She makes her play from a hundred million
Thousand worlds away
From the worlds away
Verse 3
And she does things, and then you don’t know where you are
Could it be that you don’t know,Â
how things, could get this far
but they do and then you wonderÂ
about a dark star shiningÂ
a star so dark, how does it shine?Â
how does it shine?
Chorus 3
She comes from worlds away
And you really want her to stay
Haven’t you seen her come driving inÂ
From the worlds awaaaaay?Â
All the worlds away
All the worlds away
Solo
From the worlds away
Chorus and outro
From worlds away,Â
From worlds away, from worlds away
She comes driving from worlds away
From worlds away, from worlds away,
Here she comes in from worlds away
From worlds awaaay, from worlds away
A star so dark, how does it shine?
