This is a mix of Dancing when the sun goes down that uses the sort of vocal pitch shift effect that is common in modern chart music. This is a departure from the music I am usually involved with, in the form of an EDM tune that I wrote the music for.

The song structure is verse/chorus form EDM with an interlude in the middle of the song. It has I guess a 90's influence in the music, but the vocals add a dimension with more modern R&B and African (Nigerian) influences, the latter of which can be heard especially in the opening vocal line.

I started the song some years ago and have revised it a lot since. I persisted with it because I think it has potential, and thanks to Caleb Bashir (Nigeria), for re-invigorating the project with his lyrics and vocals.

At the moment the music for the song uses some synths (hybrid 2 and Syntronik), some midi drums (Addictive drums), some midi bass (Subboom bass and Modo bass) and some guitars (using a Variax through the Euphoria amp sim). I've added a bunch of production rhythmic effects from Stutter edit and Shaperbox in the mix. This mix also uses a bunch of pitch shift vocal treatments.
